After several months of disruption, this month’s forecast felt GOOD!
Refreshingly good!
The theme for September is: Moving Past Obstacles by Reconnecting with Our True Selves
August prepared us for what was in store for this month by telling us to “Just Do It.” By taking action without second guessing or overthinking the outcome, we learned that we could do more than we realized.
We shook off some of the shackles created by acting in alignment with what was expected of us.
I know that I did.
It is probably one of the reasons I was so excited for the messages that came through with this forecast.
We also lost 3 powerful human beings from this Earth that showed us what living in alignment meant.
Dolly Parton: not only did she have the voice of an angel, she wrote songs that touched our soul. She did it by becoming a bright, sparkling flamboyant version of herself. Larger than life in her tiny frame. Living within her essence, she was able to improve humanity. Dolly’s philanthropy touched millions. The royalties (roughly $10 million) from Whitney Houston’s singing of “I will always love you” went to a historically black neighborhood in Nashville. Her Imagination Library put books in the hands of millions of children. The financial support she gave to important medical research including the development of the Covid mRNA vaccine.
Tim Curry: created many memorable characters but none as remarkable as Dr. Frank-N-Furter from the Rocky Horror Picture Show- the longest running the theatrical release in history. When a human with an extraordinary heart plays a character that extraordinary, our minds are expanded to see what misheld beliefs are holding us back.
Dr. Gladys West: is the woman who literally showed us how to get to where we want to go. This brilliant mathematician came from humble beginnings, a share-cropping family in rural, segregated Virginia. She went on to provide calculations and programming that would become the basis for modern GPS.
All 3 charged ahead with their vision, all 3 showed us what we could be when we aligned with integrity.
The meditation:
A cinnamon color with a pink undertone: cinnabar was the word I kept hearing.
I felt a warmth and level of comfort I had not experienced in any of the previous forecasts.
All the cards I pulled for the reading contained this relatively unique color and reinforced the comfort of the experience I had in the meditation.
Ironically, the meditation portion of this month’s reading was interrupted by a “ceiling color emergency” despite having silenced my phone.
I took time to reflect on the role our commitments play in our path: the importance of integrating the messages we receive rather than reacting with resentment.
The Animal Guide:
I felt called to pull the animal card first. She certainly set the tone and re-enforced the message of capability!
The Rhinoceros Spirit: from The Spirit Animal Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid

“[The Rhino spirit] offers you the power to break through stubborn obstacles….you have the marvelous ability to overcome obstacles in a variety of ways—by going around them, shattering them the force of sheer deliberate intentions, or even transforming them into clouds that drift away by refusing to allow them to limit you. Apply your Rhino spirit with creativity and no obstacle can stand, for you have magic to make and many ways to make it. Your power is awesome right now.”
The Color Guide: Auburn
Card 11 from The Secret Language of Color by Inna Segal
Auburn is more than a brownish-red. It is like molten chocolate.

Some examples to bring into your home:
The most delicious paint color representation is Cascabel Chile CSP-445 by Benjamin Moore.
Arras 316 by The Little Green Paint Company
Bloody Mary Morning 60 by Alkemis Paint
It takes paint that can hold a substantial amount of pigment.
From the Oracle card guidebook:
“Auburn is a fantastic color for grounding yourself and providing access to Universal Intelligence. Regeneration, increased concentration, and a higher level of patience are among auburn’s gifts.” —Everything you need to handle obstacles.
The Directive:
Lost Compass 35 from The Shaman’s Dream Oracle by Colette Baron-Reid
“Getting back to integrity, finding the way home, trusting intuition”

From the guide book: “When the Lost Compass appears, it is a sign that you need to find your way back home, back to your source and center, relying on your intuition to arrive there. … Be careful not to believe all of the advice you have been receiving… Rely instead on your innate sense of direction and guidance, use your homing instinct to lead you true.”
Listen to yourself, you have the answers. Getting back home to yourself will likely involve foraging a new path. A path only you know.
The Dreamtime/Subconscious Guide:
If the Fox Can’t Find its Tail (11) from the dream weaver’s oracle by Colette Baron-Reid
The way to work with our intuition more potently is through our dreams. Dreams reveal what we are blinded to in our waking.
“digging deep into your own authentic knowing, avoiding compromise”
From the guide book: “If the fox can’t find it’s tail, it could be because it is chasing the wrong things, and looking in the wrong direction, one that is unnatural to him….occasionally you need to stay true to your inner knowing so you don’t trade your truth in acquiescence, giving in to someone’s expectations or perceived dominance just to keep face.”
You can’t live in your authenticity in someone else’s mold, someone else’s rules. You just end up chasing your tail.
What the Mayan Calendar tells us:
We begin the month of September in the second “month” of the 13 that comprise the Mayan Solar Year. We have also just begin a new Tzolkin cycle. The Tzolkin is the most fascinating aspect of th Mayan Timekeeping System because it gives us daily, weekly, and monthly guidelines to align with the energy of the earth and the cosmos.
The Tzolkin begins under the sign of the Red Dragon: the primordial Mother, the cosmic womb, the original creatix.
What are you birthing in this season? Could it be your true essence?
The second moon, or month, of the Solar year holds the properties of Polarization, Stabilization, and Challenge.
The energy could not align more perfectly!
We must actively reject the advice, influence, expectations, and guidance of others to come home to our authenticity and live within our truth.
That’s certain to ruffle some feathers!
But moving within our own truth takes conviction. Our magic is revealed.
Which happens on September 9th as we begin the Wavespell of the White Wizard!
Then on September 20th we move into the 3rd moon, the Electric Moon of Service. whose properties are to Activate, Bond, and Serve.
How to Use the Forecast to Create Alignment:
Surround yourself with rich color. The grounding nature of the color of Auburn empowers you to move with more conviction. Ask yourself what colors is your home missing. What do you need in your home to feel more authentic?
Embrace the Rhino spirit: stop making excuses for what isn’t changing and change it. Ask for help if you can’t figure out how. But listen to your own guidance, that quiet inner voice that often speaks to you in the shower or driving alone, to see if the advice aligns with what you believe. You are particularly powerful right now. TAKE ACTION.
Be intentional with your time: Don’t say yes unless you mean it. Ask yourself if it aligns with your truth, your wider vision. It its a maybe… say no!
Look for spaces you can invite more of yourself into: Does your space reflect your heart? Create a vision board for that space/s. Create without restricting or judging yourself or carrying what anyone else may think. Are their aspects of your former self (inner child) that could use some support? Carve out out space to honor her. By creating a safe space for her to come home, you open space for you as well.
